Q. What is Las Vegas Information.net?
A. Las Vegas Information.net is an online collection of resources for
information of interest to Las Vegas residents and visitors who are interested in Las
Vegas. This collection consists of a database, a search engine and three different
Yahoo style directories;
- A local business directory
Las Vegas Business Directory
- A visitors guide
Las Vegas Tourist Information
- And an adult entertainment guide
Adult Entertainment Guide To Las Vegas
Q. Does Las Vegas Information.net contain information on Las Vegas businesses
only?
A. While the primary purpose of Las Vegas Information.net is to provide
information on local Vegas businesses, the local business directory also contains
some non-local, internet based businesses where their addition provides additional
resources of interest to area residents. (They were so good we just couldn't leave
them out!)
Q. My friend has a business in Vegas that should be in this directory. How
can he get his business listed?
A. There are several ways that you can help them to be listed;
- If you have an e-mail address for them, simply go to the right menu
on any directory page and click the "Tell a Business" button. It will
bring up a page where you can click the "Send an E-Mail" link. This will
bring up an e-mail window with a message directing them to the
"Free Listing"
page. All the directions are there to explain how to add their business.
- If you don't have an e-mail address for them, go to the right menu
on any directory page and click the "Tell a Business" button. It will
bring up a page where you can click the "Send a Postcard" button. This
will bring up a short form that you can fill in and send to us. We will
then send a postcard by snail mail to them, telling them that you thought
they would want to be listed in the directory and they can do it for FREE!
- Give them a call, tell them about the directory, that they can be
listed for FREE, suggest that they visit lasvegaslocaldirectory.com,
click the
"Free Listing"
button and follow the directions.
Q. I know of a business that should be included in your directory, but
they don't have a web site. Can they still get in?
A. Yes they can. When they put in their information, simply ignore the
URL field. It is fair to say, however, that they will get much better results if
they do have an online presence. Have them check out the "premium listing" upgrade
option link, at the bottom of the
"Free Listing"
page. They can get a "showcase page" built, hosted and promoted
very inexpensively.
(This is a fantastic alternative when you don't want a full blown site!)
Q. There isn't a category for the information I am looking for. Is it possible
to have a category added so I can use it in the future?
A. Yes. Go to the left menu on any directory page and click the
"Contact Us" button. On the contact page, you will see an e-mail link for
"suggestions". Click that link, and type in your suggestion. You can also sign up
on our mailing list, and we'll let you know when new catagories and other upgrades
are added. (This is a
great suggestion!)
Q. Why is there sometimes no back button, when I click links in the directory
and search engine?
A. Links to other sites can be unpredictable, and sometimes you get
trapped on a site that won't let you back out of it. (I hate it when that happens,
don't you?) We set the links to open in a new window so you don't have to
completely close the browser, when this happens. You simply close that window and
continue your search from where you left off. Nice, huh?
